Cav Notes

Football Team 2007

Juan Jackson has been hired as the Cavalier's new football coach for the 2007 season. Jackson, a former running back at North Carolina A&T, had been an assistant football coach and head track coach at Denbigh High School. He will be looking to turn around PA's football program which has not had a winning season since the 2000 team that went 9-2. That team featured three players, C. J. Fayton, Cedric Humes, and Kai Parham who all went on to star at Division I-A colleges.

November 2, 2007 - PA broke a 24 game losing streak with a thrilling 14-7 victory over Kempsville in overtime. The Cavs scored first in O.T., and then intercepted a second down pass in the end zone to seal the win. The capacity homecoming crowd ran onto the field to celebrate at the end of the game.
