2008 Season:
Princess Anne tied with Cox in field hockey during the regular season, then beat the Lady Falcons 3-1 in a playoff to earn the #1 seed in the Beach Tournament and automatic bid to the Eastern Region Tournament. They lost to Cox in both the Region and State finals. They finished the season with four losses, all to Cox. Final record 18-4, District 9-1.
2007 Season:
The Cavs finished with a perfect 10-0 district record and the regular season championship. They were Eastern Region runner-ups and advanced to the State Final Four where they lost 3-2 to Stafford in the semifinal.
2005 Season: The Cavs went to State where they advanced to their fifth final in six years. They lost to unbeaten Stafford 2-1, to finish the season with a 19-4-1 record. Two of the losses were to Stafford and two were to Cox.
2004 Season: The ladies
finished first, unbeaten in the Beach District, during the regular
season. They defended their Eastern Region Championship with a 1-0
win over Cox, and followed that with another 1-0 victory over Cox
in the State Championship game.
2003 Season: the team won
the Beach District Tournament and successfully defended their Eastern
Region crown. They almost won their third state championship in
four years, but lost a 2-1 heartbreaker in overtime in the state
championship game.
Previous Seasons:
PA, under Coach Denise O'Connell, won back
to back state championships in 2000 and 2001.
In 2002 they won
the Beach District and Eastern Region championships, finishing with a season record of 16-4-1.
