The never-say-die Princess Anne baseball team erased an 8-0 deficit to win the 2005 state championship in a dramatic 11-10, 12 inning victory, over Osbourn H.S.

Beamer Weems, Baylor , Shortstop In 2006, Weems hit .296 with 13 doubles, 5 triples, 7 homers and 43 RBI. -
In 2007 hit 321, 71 hits (tied for team lead) 17 doubles, 5 triples, 9 homers (tied for team lead), 59 RBI's (led team) . This year he has received several preseason honors, including the nation’s best defensive player and preseason All America. He is projected as a top 3 rounder in the June draft. Dan Hudson, Old Dominion, Pitcher Named to the All-Rookie Colonial Conference team in 2006, Hudson posted a 7-3 record with a 3.28 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 2006. In 2007 he was 8-5 with a 3.46 ERA and 109 strikeouts in 106.2 innings pitched. He is again one of the aces of the ODU pitching staff and is projected as a top 10 rounder. Jake McAloose, Old Dominion -- Starting 3B as a true Freshman in 2007. His stats were .306 avg., 66 hits, 9 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homer, 34 RBI's. He again will have a major role for ODU as a sophomore in 2008. See ODU 2008 stats for latest updates.

Donnie Corsner, Old Dominion, Freshman at ODU, and they love him there. He is currently catching, playing the outfield and some 2B. He is competing for playing time. See ODU 2008 stats for latest updates. He hit is first home run on April 15, 2008.

Alex Owen, Christopher Newport - Junior 2B--His 2007 stats were .262 avg., 32 hits, 6 doubles, 2 triples, 19 RBI's

Zach Woods, Louisburg Junior College, Pitcher--Zach finished his Freshman season with a great record of 8-2 with a 2.86 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 72.1 innings pitched. Zach was selected as a preseason JUCO All America at Louisburg. Zach is 6-2 through April 9 this year.See 2008 stats for latest updates.

Tyler Mann, California Angels organization - Outfieder. After graduating in 2008 Tyler hit .274 in 27 games for the Angels in the Arizona league last summer..

Brian McCullough, Longwood University , Pitcher-- "Standout pitcher /Virginia Beach (Princess Anne) has been named to the 2006 Division I All-Independent Baseball First-Team, one of 17 first-team honorees among the 14 NCAA Division I independent schools." Stats 2007. Brian will begin his second year of professional baseball in the independent leagues. He is trying to get signed with a major league club. He pitched very successfully last year in the Frontier League after his college career ended. He currently holds several pitching records at Longwood.
