Charity Bowl Thanks PA High School

Principal James Pohl and Student Activities Coordinator Katie Cosimano greeted visiting Charity Bowl representatives at Princess Anne High School on April 30th.  Ms. Debbie Bellucci, Mr. Ray Potter, and Mr. Dennis Ellmer, came to thank the school for its hosting of the Charity Bowl football game last November. 

The Virginian Pilot’s Joy Fund benefitted from the Charity Bowl held last November for the first time at PA’s Cavalier Stadium, and the organizers credited the school’s enthusiastic willingness to host the event as a key element in its success. PA’s historic significance and ready recognition in the community were credited as boosts to the game’s attendance, bringing about renewed life for the long-time event.

The parties agreed that the cordial relationship should continue, and all are preparing for the anticipated November 2013 event!

May 10, 013 - English teacher Jacqueline Davis won the Malissia Lee Award for adults who are outstanding and inspirational in their work with youth, demonstrating youth development and asset building practices. The award was presented to Mrs. Davis at the 35th Annual Virginia Beach’s BEST All Around Awards Ceremony May 4, 2013, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Princess Anne High School made the Dean's List of the top five standout schools in the the February issue of Hampton Roads Magazine. The magazine had us ranked at #3 in the area.

January 28, 2013 - Updated the Robotics club page with a link to an article, Taking apart technology education at Princess Anne, about Mr. Crider and his Tech. Ed. program.

January 16, 2013 - The Princess Anne HS family mourns the passing of our former longtime chorus director, Don Nultemeier. Attached is a video tribute to Nult (wmv), the way we remember him. He was a true showman, and will be greatly missed by the staff and his former students. The video is also linked from the chorus page.

January 11, 2013 - See our Faculty page with the announcement of our 2014 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Carrie Gantt, as well as the names of our Distinguished Educators for this year, with links to videos of students saying what makes these teachers so special.
