HISTORY AND THE START OF SOMETHING NEW Established in 2007-2008 school year as a club sport, the game of Lacrosse was introduced for the first time to 44 ladies who would later take the field some for the first time playing the game of Lacrosse. There first game that season was against the Williamsburg Warriors on March 14th 2008. Lindsey D. scored the first goal for PA that evening followed by goals from Elizabeth K. Regan H. and Alannah K. for the Cavaliers, PA would later lose to this more experienced opponent but learned some valuable lessons that would set them up for success. Through their courage and their will to learn something new and take on this new challenge the cavaliers scored their very first victory the next day against a team from great bridge by a score of 12 to 9. It was there that this journey became something special that this team would win three more times that season, and would accumulate more than 90 goals scored in their first season in existence. Through it all the Ladies learned the respect for the game was essential for a new team to succeed, and that through teamwork, anything could be accomplished. There is nothing more rewarding than to experience the thrill of victory and to watch something that started with just 44 girls on that one cold day back in January when this team became one. Through their hard work and for their love of the game, these ladies played there hearts out each and every game and had the most fun in doing so.
