Chorus 100 Years of Broadway

100 Years of Boadway 2000

100 Years of Broadway 2001

In the spring of 1996, Don Nultemeier and the "Singing Cavaliers" presented 100 Years of Broadway for the first time on the PA stage. Actually that show wasn't held at PA, but at Celebration Station, our temporary home for 18 months while the school was being rebuilt due to a devasting fire. The first show, which ran about 45 minutes, was held on chorus risers, had no dancing, no costumes, and no cameos to go along with the favorite Broadway medleys.

Since that humble beginning, the production has grown to over two hours, featuring elaborate stage lighting, sets, costumes, and different cameos each year of Broadway favorites featuring outstanding soloists and small ensembles.

Each year everyone agrees that the show was "better than ever." In 2003, the Choral Department changed the format slightly to allow for more solos and duets. The show was renamed The Best of Broadway. After a successful eight year run, the show was put on hiatus in 2004. By popular demand the show returned as 100 Years of Broadway in 2005.

In 2008, the show was held on February 26 & 27.
